- Do you grow everything yourself?
Yup! We start all of the plants we sell from either seeds or cuttings in our five greenhouses. We chose to start our own plants because this allows us to bring our customers a larger variety of unique plants, as we don't have to meet minimums for wholesalers. We might grow only a few trays of one plant, and a hundred or two of another! Our greenhouses are in operation almost all year round.
-Why do you grow everything in four-packs? Everyone else grows in six-packs.
Although our competitors choose to grow in six-packs, we chose to grow our plants in four
packs for one simple reason: four packs give the plants room to grow and stretch, making for healthier plants that live longer. We feel that it is just not possible for most plants to develop a healthy root system in a six-pack, and that growing in a six-pack results in a sickly plant that is just not going to perform the way you want it to.
- Can I come down and look around the greenhouses?
Sorry, but due to contamination issues, we can't allow the public into our greenhouses/irrigation fields.
- Do you do custom orders?
Depending on how busy we are and how large the order is, we are sometimes able to handle custom orders for weddings, businesses, and so on.
- I'm a wholesaler/landscaper, will you sell to me?
Sometimes! We are a relatively small operation, so we sometimes don't have the supply to offer some of the more unique plants at wholesale prices. We do often wholesale mums and the more common bedding annuals however, so feel free to stop in or give us a call, and check!
- How do you say your name?!
It's easy! It's "Lauren," like the girl's name, and then "-itis." Lauren-itis.
-Are those your sunflowers across the street in the summer? Can I pick/take pictures of them?
Unfortunately, because of the steep hill leading up to the sunflower field, we cannot let
people up to see them. They are also there for everyone to enjoy, and having people walk around the field damages their delicate stalks. We do sell cut sunflowers inside our building, however, and are always more than glad to cut them fresh for weddings/parties/etc. Thanks for understanding!
